My of students noted 15th edition of Merrill's stated the following
"the Central Ray (CR) enters at a point 1 inch (2.5 cm) distal to nasion

All other publications (Bontrager) and previous editions state 1/2 inch.

Can someone confirm if this is a typo or real change?

Thanks

Danyell Gardner

From Elsevier

Kindly be informed that I got an update from the Correction Team, please see the below response from the author for the reported inquiry.

"This is an error. The sentence under the heading "Central ray" should read as:

Perpendicular to the bridge of the nose at a point ½ inch (1.3 cm) distal to the nasion."

Since the author approved the correction, we will get the content updated in the book.

For the print version, the reported corrections will be updated in the next reprint, and for the e-versions, the reported corrections will be updated by 24th September 2024.

Good catch! I'll need to make a note on my PowerPoint slides so the students know about this typo. Thanks!
